Over-Optimization
Over-optimization refers to the process where traders create a trading algorithm, often involving excessive curve-fitting, that appears excellent in theory but fails to perform as desired in real-time market trading scenarios. This occurs when the algorithmic trading system becomes too complex for the computer to handle, leading to computational overload and diminished performance.
