Over-the-Counter (OTC) Trading
Over-the-counter (OTC) trading is a method whereby an agreement to purchase a specific asset is directly concluded between two parties without the involvement of a centralized exchange (CEX). OTC desks are commonly utilized for large-volume asset purchases to enhance transparency, save time and fees, and maintain asset security. Typically, OTC trading involves a third-party custody solution. OTC desks often facilitate trading of assets or securities that are not listed on regular crypto exchanges due to regulatory requirements.
