Satoshi Nakamoto
Satoshi Nakamoto is the pseudonymous individual or group credited with creating the Bitcoin protocol. In October 2008, Nakamoto famously published the Bitcoin whitepaper, and in January 2009, mined the first ‘genesis’ block on the Bitcoin network. However, in April 2011, Nakamoto announced withdrawal from the blockchain community, stating that they had “moved on to other things.” Since then, the true identity of Nakamoto remains unknown, with various unproven theories attempting to unravel the mystery.
