Order Book
An order book is an electronic record that displays buy and sell orders for a specific security, asset, or financial instrument, organized by price levels. It provides traders and investors with important trading data and transparency. The order book is accessed through an exchange’s online interface and shows the quantity of assets being bought and sold at various prices, allowing market participants to assess supply and demand dynamics. The buy orders are typically represented by the green portion of the interface, while the sell orders are represented by the red portion.
