Network Pruning

Network pruning involves modifying a computer network, specifically a blockchain network, to enhance its efficiency and reduce resource requirements. This process typically entails training an overly complex network to become more efficient, then “pruning” it based on specific criteria, ultimately achieving comparable performance to the original version. Network pruning is commonly employed when full nodes of a blockchain network are transformed into pruned nodes or light nodes, also known as light-clients.
