Network Latency
Network latency, also known as network lag, refers to the time it takes for data to travel from its source to its destination. Low network latency, indicating faster data transmission times, is a critical characteristic for high-performance blockchains and computer networks. The faster a network can process data, the more suitable it is for large-scale enterprise use. Network latency directly impacts transaction throughput and the network’s ability to handle a high number of transactions per second (TPS).
