Intercontinental Exchange (ICE)
The Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) is a prominent Fortune 500 company that was established in 2000 with a primary focus on providing support to global exchanges and clearing houses. It offers an array of services, including financial, mortgage, and technology data services, as well as listings services. The ICE operates and possesses asset exchanges for financial, derivatives, and commodity marketplaces on a global scale. This includes ownership of 12 regulated exchanges and marketplaces, such as ICE futures exchanges located in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Initially, the Intercontinental Exchange was developed to facilitate the trading of derivatives and various asset classes on the former London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), which was later rebranded as ICE Futures Europe.
