Immutability
In the context of blockchain, immutability refers to the property of being unchangeable. This attribute ensures that data, once recorded in the shared ledger of a blockchain network after a transaction is executed, cannot be altered. Unlike most conventional computer networks that are mutable, allowing modifications, censorship, or changes to the information within them, immutability in blockchain enables users to send and receive crypto transactions that are irreversible. It also ensures data integrity for decentralized applications (dApps), blockchain cloud storage platforms, and other applications within the blockchain network.
