Gavin Wood

Gavin Wood, a notable British computer scientist, gained prominence as the founder of Polkadot, Kusama, Parity Technologies, and the Web3 Foundation. He played a crucial role in the inception of Ethereum in 2013, serving as the project’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Wood’s contributions extend to the creation of Solidity, the programming language used for Ethereum’s smart contracts. In 2019, Wood introduced the Kusama blockchain network and remains actively involved in the development of Polkadot, Kusama, and other associated ventures.
