Gateway

Gateways are devices that leverage Internet of Things (IoT) technology to connect to blockchain systems or related network infrastructures. Gateways play a vital role in addressing the limitations of IoT devices, such as poor battery life, limited computing power, and restricted communication bandwidth. These devices can consist of various interconnected devices that have the capability to operate as a network themselves. Examples of gateways include a mobile phone connected to multiple wearable devices, a smart car linked to various in-car devices, or a 5G base station connected to a multitude of IoT devices.
