Extended Private Key (XPRIV)

An extended private key (XPRIV) is one component of a master key pair used in hierarchical-deterministic (HD) wallets. HD wallets are cryptocurrency wallets that generate new cryptographic key pairs or addresses for each transaction involving funds. The extended private key is responsible for generating private keys associated with specific addresses in the wallet hierarchy.
