A cold wallet refers to a cryptocurrency wallet that remains offline, either by not being connected to the internet or by disconnecting during the signing of a crypto transaction, which is securely performed within the device. Typically, cold wallets take the form of hardware wallets, physical devices that store private keys. In contrast, hot wallets are connected to the internet for easy access and transactions.
