Sybil Attack

A Sybil attack is a form of online security breach in which an attacker generates numerous fake identities (nodes) to overwhelm a target network, causing disruption to its normal operation or attempting to gain control. These attacks exploit the manner in which legitimate nodes establish connections with one another and can pose significant dangers, especially in systems where new nodes can be effortlessly created and synchronized.
