Stellar is a decentralized, open-source payment protocol that facilitates smooth cross-border transactions across various currencies. The project’s own cryptocurrency, Stellar Lumens (XLM), is utilized to cover the network’s transaction fees, prevent spam, and provide liquidity through the Stellar Distributed Exchange (SDEX).
