Spot Market
In the spot market, immediate settlement and delivery of financial instruments or commodities occur in a public financial market. While there may be a slight delay in the delivery of physical goods due to real-world logistical factors, spot market transactions are settled at the price fixed at the time of purchase, not at the time of distribution. This distinguishes the spot market from futures markets, where delivery is scheduled for a later date, and prices can fluctuate based on market movements after the transaction is initiated.
