Solo Mining
Solo mining refers to the process of mining cryptocurrency independently directly on the Proof-of-Work (PoW) blockchain. While solo mining eliminates the need to pay fees and allows miners to keep the entire block reward, it can result in infrequent or sporadic block rewards, making it less common for most major mineable blockchains. Instead, most miners opt to join mining pools, where they combine their hash rate with other participants and receive block rewards distributed based on their contributed hash rate.
