Slot (Cardano)

In the Cardano blockchain, the Ouroboros Praos protocol is employed. This distinctive consensus mechanism divides time into epochs that last approximately 5 days, further divided into 432,000 slots. Randomly selected nodes act as slot leaders, responsible for producing blocks within the network.
