Ring Signature
A ring signature is a cryptographic mechanism utilized to conceal the specific details of a digital signature, ensuring anonymity and privacy in network transactions. This unique signature format allows any member of a group possessing the correct cryptographic keys to produce the signature, making it virtually impossible to determine which member’s keys were used. The name “ring signature” derives from the ring-like structure of the signature algorithm, with Monero pioneering its implementation in 2015.
