Resharding
Resharding, also known as horizontal partitioning, involves dividing a network into multiple databases or networks. It is the process of adjusting the number of shards in a data stream, often done to meet network demands or increase data transaction throughput. While resharding provides benefits in terms of data transmission, it can be challenging to implement while ensuring data availability and integrity. Resharding is employed in decentralized blockchains implementing sharding, as well as in centralized and distributed networks.
