Release-to-Manufacturing (RTM) Version
The release-to-manufacturing (RTM) version, also known as the golden master build (GM) version, refers to the software version that is deemed ready for final release. The RTM version is typically released after the pre-alpha, alpha, beta, and release candidate versions. It precedes the general availability (GA) version, which is released to the public. For example, when Apple releases an operating system (OS), the RTM version serves as the basis for all future copies of the OS.
