Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)
Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) is a technology that leverages electromagnetic fields to identify and track objects using tags. These tags comprise a compact radio transponder equipped with a transmitter and receiver. When an RFID device reader emits an electromagnetic pulse in close proximity, it triggers the tags to transmit digital data, which may include inventory numbers, back to the reader. The application of RFID technology allows for the authentication, tracking, and locating of products that are equipped with RFID tags.
