Proof of Stake (PoS)

Proof of Stake (PoS) is emerging as one of the most widely adopted consensus mechanisms in blockchain. PoS incentivizes participants to stake native coins in a network of validator nodes. When a transaction block is completed, validator nodes have a chance to validate block data, generate the next block, and earn native coins as rewards. A robust nodal network enhances network security, resiliency, and computational power. PoS also enables validator nodes to democratically contribute to decentralized platform governance through voting. PoS networks offer faster scalability and energy efficiency compared to Proof-of-Work (PoW) blockchains.
