Production Version (Stable Release)
The production version, also known as the stable release, refers to the final candidate of a software release that has successfully passed all testing and reached the release-to-manufacturing (RTM) phase. Although the production version may still contain some bugs and inefficiencies that require addressing and modification before the final release to the public, it signifies a significant milestone. Preceding the RTM phase, the production version serves as a precursor to the general availability (GA) phase and the golden master build (GM) phase. It is not uncommon for the production version to have multiple distinct iterations.
