Pre-Sale
A pre-sale occurs after the completion of a private sale but before the public sale of a blockchain project. During this phase, a specific allocation of coins is sold to prospective investors. The purpose of a pre-sale is to offer institutional investors and smaller investment funds that missed the private sale an opportunity to contribute. Typically, the pre-sale includes family members, close friends of the project founders, and high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) who can invest early on before the public offering, such as an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) or Initial Exchange Offering (IEO).
