Parent Chain

A parent chain is a term used to describe the main blockchain or Layer-1 network in a blockchain ecosystem. It acts as the foundation for various subnetworks or sidechains within the ecosystem. The parent chain maintains the network’s consensus and facilitates the operation of smaller blockchains on top of it.
