Non-Deterministic (ND) Wallet
An ND wallet, short for non-deterministic wallet, belongs to the category of non-custodial cryptocurrency wallets. It is purpose-built to generate, store, and handle numerous private keys that are independent of each other. ND wallets employ randomness and typically store their private keys in pairs. These wallets emerged soon after the inception of the Bitcoin blockchain network. One of the primary hurdles with ND wallets is the requirement to create backup keys for every new wallet instance. This challenge was subsequently tackled by the advent of wallets that leverage BIP-32 technology, enabling deterministic key generation.
