Miner
Miners are integral participants in Proof-of-Work (PoW) blockchain consensus protocols. Their primary responsibility is to validate and record new transactions on the blockchain ledger. By solving intricate mathematical problems, miners contribute to the network’s security, trustworthiness, and overall integrity. In recognition of their efforts, miners are rewarded with newly minted coins. This incentivizes users to dedicate computational power towards mining new blocks, and in return, miners receive a portion of the network’s native currency for each block they successfully mine.
