Merkle Root

A Merkle root is located at the top of a Merkle tree and represents the collection of transaction hashes at the bottom of the tree. These transaction hashes are repeatedly hashed in pairs until a single Merkle root remains. The resulting Merkle root can be used to verify all the transaction hashes within the Merkle tree.
