Margin Call

A margin call takes place when the value of an investor’s margin account drops below the predetermined minimum requirement set by the broker. In such a scenario, the broker issues a request to the investor, urging them to add more funds or securities to the account in order to restore its value to the required level. Failing to meet the margin call can lead to the liquidation of the investor’s position.
