International System of Units
The International System of Units (SI) is the internationally recognized standard for measurement, commonly known as the metric system. It comprises seven base units, including length (meter-m), time (second-s), amount of substance (mole-mol), electric current (ampere-A), temperature (kelvin-K), luminous intensity (candela-cd), and mass (kilogram-kg). The SI system is utilized by nearly every country worldwide and was officially established in Paris in 1875.
