Hardware Wallet
A hardware wallet is a non-custodial wallet considered a secure method for storing cryptocurrencies. Usually resembling a USB stick, a hardware wallet operates offline and connects to an online device via USB or Bluetooth when conducting transactions. Although it has intermittent internet connectivity, it remains an offline or “cold” wallet, as transactions are signed offline within the device. This offline signing process ensures that malware cannot tamper with the transaction or access your private keys.
