Game Finance (GameFi)
Game finance, also known as GameFi, is a gaming model based on blockchain technology. GameFi typically operates on a play-to-earn (P2E) framework, allowing users to receive cryptocurrencies or non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as rewards for completing in-game tasks, interacting with other players, or progressing through game levels. Unlike traditional video games, most blockchain games enable users to own their in-game assets and transfer their tokenized rewards out of the virtual world. This opens up opportunities for gamers to buy, sell, and trade their items on cryptocurrency exchanges or NFT marketplaces.
