Digital Identity
Digital identity refers to the data used to represent individuals, organizations, or devices in a digital context. For individuals, digital identity can encompass digital versions of government-issued documents that validate personal information such as date of birth, nationality, and gender. It can also encompass social media profiles, email accounts, and internet usage history. Security and personal privacy are key concerns related to digital identity, and blockchain technology often enables the establishment of decentralized identities (DIDs) that can be verified using key-pair cryptography.
