Decentralized Application (dApp)
A decentralized application, or dApp, utilizes blockchain technology to address various use cases, including investment, lending, gaming, and governance. While dApps may have a similar user experience to web applications, their backend processes operate in a distributed and peer-to-peer manner, avoiding the use of centralized servers. Instead of relying on the central Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), dApps interact with automated smart contracts on supported blockchain networks through wallet software.
