Cryptomining is the process of solving complex equations in a Proof-of-Work consensus mechanism to validate transactions and add new blocks to the blockchain. Individuals who operate computers supporting a blockchain network, known as miners, solve these equations and are rewarded with cryptocurrency, typically the native coin of the blockchain.
