Circular Economy
A circular economy is an economic system that values both a robust economic structure and enhanced environmental sustainability. It prioritizes the reduction of waste and responsible resource usage, employing practices such as reuse, repair, recycling, reimbursement, and sharing. By creating a closed-loop system, the circular economy minimizes waste generation, pollution, and carbon emissions. Its aim is to prolong the use of products, infrastructure, and equipment while improving the efficiency of natural resource utilization. In contrast, a linear economy follows an unsustainable “take, make, dispose” production model.
