Bubble
A bubble refers to a situation where the price of an asset undergoes a substantial and unsustainable increase, followed by a sharp decline, ultimately stabilizing at a significantly lower value. This decline often exceeds 75% of the asset’s peak price. Identifying a bubble usually occurs retrospectively, after the price has plummeted. Speculative bubbles are marked by rapid and dramatic price fluctuations within a relatively brief timeframe.
