Beacon Chain

The Beacon Chain is the initial stage of the Ethereum Consensus Layer (formerly Ethereum 2.0) upgrade. It introduces the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, allowing ETH holders to stake their coins and become network validators. The Beacon Chain serves as the primary coordination mechanism for data, users, and assets across the upgraded Ethereum network.
